how did you paint the background with the mast there. im guessing you did the background first and then somehow erased a strip. i noticed that the background stays consistant. like that purple blotch as it pasts the mast. neat!

I like your watercolour style quite a bit. The palette you've used is perfect for this subject matter, but that's probably a very subjective thing: I have good memories of the sea and in particular of sailboats like this. So to me, the light, sunny air this piece has is simply excellent.

Rather impressed by how you managed the water, as well. Slight chop, well executed, and gives the painting a very nice sense of motion.
